Our story

Born from one too many drops.

Switchbands started with a simple frustration: a phone that kept slipping out of hand during active days, and nothing on the market that fixed it properly.

From the founder

Why I made Switchbands

The SwitchBands Case and Universal SwitchBand was born out of necessity because of the frequent drops I had while doing active things. I tried using cases and gadgets that were on the marketplace, but all had certain drawbacks.

The stick-on gadgets would either fall off or would not give me the secure hold I was looking for. And both cases and gadgets were bulky, always getting caught in my pocket, and my phone would not lay flat or wirelessly charge.

There was also no way to adjust your preference on how to hold it for your comfort.

The problem, solved

Everything that bugged us, fixed.

Every drawback Bruce ran into became a design rule for the band.

✕Stick-on gadgets that fall off
✓No glue at all: the band slides between your phone and its case.
✕A grip that never feels secure
✓A stitched loop that holds your hand snug, like a seatbelt for your phone.
✕Bulky, snags in your pocket, won't lay flat
✓Slim and flexible, so your phone lays flat and slips in and out of pockets.
✕No wireless charging, no way to adjust
✓Charges wirelessly and adjusts to the way you like to hold your phone.

Mission statement

The SwitchBand product line has been the go-to option for a non-stick, adjustable, changeable, even customizable band that gives you a very comfortable yet very secure grip on your cell phone.
